Well not posted for an age as have no cash, and bought no tins, but couldn't pass these up in a pop-up store... with a load of random ordinary tins, these were hiding... not great condition but interesting, shaped and hinged - Think they are penny novelty - think they might be early 1900 as panzie design... but does anyone have an opinion??? (look nice with the Hignett's) - also has anyone seen any more colour versions? or who might have made them and what for....

Nice tins, are they hinged?

Seen 3 or 4 of these this year online. Same colours as yours. Been tempted, they are very cute, but the condition was a bit off and with no branding I passed. Thought I'd kept pics but can't find them.

Don't know what they contained. Likely would have had sweets. They are very much like the small vending machine tins.

I think it must have been cachous related... I've always wondered though - whilst the square cadbury and rowntree vesta tins had cocoa samples in - what did the figural rowntree ones have in them??
