Found this little tin today and was wondering what it might have been for, it has two piercings in the side where something might have been attached to it....anyone got any information please?

I think it held ribbon. You'ed pull it out through the slit. Never seen it with anything attached.

Butterfly brand. Its for brown paper tape, gummed on one side so you moisten it to stick it down. Great little tin for a product!

Looks like two slots plus a lump of metal on the inside.
