 Hello.

I need some help. I'll try and figure out this photo upload thing soon...

If anyone can help identify, date, share a link with more information to shed some light on this poster and frame I found.

Frame says property of Imperial Tobacco and on the bottom engraved in the wood is Master Workman. The amazing poster was actually hidden behind another print when I got the frame but as you can see by the photo it is in great shape.

The print that was covering the poster is dated copyright 1895.

I cant seem to find any link between Imperial tobacco and Master Workman but it seems to be some sort of store display piece or something.

 Hi Nick,

Found a reference to your "Master Workman" brand  which was manufactured for the export market through British American Tobacco Company which had been set up post Imperial Tobacco Company formation (1901) for the sole purpose of dealing with Imperial Brands for export. (No doubt manufactured under licence by one of the big companies such as WD & HO Wills) You indicated that you are in Canada. Are there any other markings such as B,A.T. It is around the 1920s. Hope that helps.

Thanks Bacco :) This helps a ton, I've gotten some other information on the eBay forums as well so I'll be able to piece some sort of timeline together. I'll check on the B,A.T. when I get home, in the meantime I did notice on the photo of the poster there is what may be a production number or something "18881"

 Hi Nick,

Glad you found the info useful. If that number on the bottom of the showcard is the ITC Number, it would make it about 1950s/60s.
