Lovely signs Rich. Have you done any research on the Heather Bell? That sign looks really early, where was it printed? Great local piece for you.

Brian , The Heather Bell was built in Glasgow, an iron paddle steamer,207 ft long & launched in 1871, ran between Portsmouth & Ryde IOW.  It was scrapped in 1902

The sign  was made by Max Cremnitz   . Paris

Dont think many of these signs have survived

Hello there, the Heather Bell is wonderful. Max Cremnitz was a fantastic showcard maker. Here is a rare Mick McQuaid tin one, about 35x50 cm.

Cheers,

Meiki

Great tin sign Meike. Thanks for posting.

Amazing how similar these two figures are!
