Brian , The Heather Bell was built in Glasgow, an iron paddle steamer,207 ft long & launched in 1871, ran between Portsmouth & Ryde IOW. It was scrapped in 1902
The sign was made by Max Cremnitz . Paris
Dont think many of these signs have survived
Hello there, the Heather Bell is wonderful. Max Cremnitz was a fantastic showcard maker. Here is a rare Mick McQuaid tin one, about 35x50 cm.
