Many thanks for everyones continued support over another belting, but enormously tiring Elsecar w/e. I never fail to be impressed by all those around me @ BBR who work so tirelessly hard to regularly put on a smooth running 2 days (behind the scenes problems get sorted!). It all takes a huge amount of planning & doesn't come cheaply. Drains us all.... then the Council double book a wedding Sat - so it was a midnight turn round/ set up - ably assisted by the 3 from Scotland - Peter Gackowski, John Thompson & Sandy - they were absolutely brilliant!

The one minute applause to celebrate the life of Lou Squillaci was a very touching moment. I would also like to thank the stallholders for not opening the big green doors before the designated time, & all those who vocally offered support regarding "undermining issues" threatening the future of Elsecars.

After tidying up a well earned drink, or 2, or 3 or 4 or 5..... in the Market after. Early doors this morning, Mondy, Clare & Katie were back in - beavering away with a mountain of paperwork, lots to process & pack for shipping.... then on to the Absentee Auction Sunday 19 May, then the Antique Advertising & Breweriana Auction Sunday 26 May - then on to the 29th SummerNational w/e 6 & 7 July (with the FREE camping organised/ approved). Cheers AB

Never saw you Bacco. It was indeed another busy one.... SummerNational is shaping "remarkably" already - hope you can make it to that one - how about a tobacco tins display in the salesroom?

Alan, I always enjoy Elsecar (and always spend too much) You and your ace team pulled it off once again, everything ran smoothly even though I knew you had gone through tribulations to get there. You ploughed on even when false fire alarms were going off - true Yorkshire grit!

Thanks Batley - AND - I only do it A) cus I still absolutely love it - no matter what my dear Council throw at us, overcoming issues/ hurdles/ hassles we just take on board B) cus my helpers & staff are just an absolute pleasure & joy to work with & C) it's the personal connections & close/ long time friends we've built up over decades..... luv it, long may it (hopefully) last, given the current "issues", lol!
