Happy/ fond memories of past fairs - Brum, Leeds Queens Hall, Knebworth all brill - we were all rather naive & extremely keen, & lots of fresh to market material to choose from. Elsecar takes some organising & promoting. I WILL continue to spend massively on the advertising front, never say never, never give up hope... & I can vouch we HAVE been successful in drawing in fresh faces to our Bottley/ Advertising events by sheer determination - many 'won over' by our stuff who return & spend well. Elsecar is thoroughly established and across the 4 w/e's remains a unique draw. Most take it for granted but I feel dealers & collectors must ensure it is not undermined by any outside influences... if we lose it several (on this forum) say "we're bugga***! Council remain difficult/ awkward to deal with but we're fairly resilient to their mismanagement & somehow keep the ball rolling. April is looking another humdinger & after much prcrastinating & back & forth the Council have agreed to allow the free camping on the field opposite once more for the 29th SummerNational in July (booking forms out this w/e with the next magazine). |
