This small "Bullet" shaped price list produced by A.I.Jones & Co. Ltd, Tobacco Manufacturers, London, is a bit unusual, as when you open it, there are colour illustrations and mentions of the "Battle of the Alma" and the "Battle of Balaclava" including the "Charge of the Light Brigade" which took place during the Crimean War 1854 to 1855. A.I.Jones was founded in 1843 at 7-9, King St, Hammersmith W. The company became part of the ITC after 1901 with mainly retail shops. They named a lot of their brands of tobacco & cigarettes after famous battles & ships. Have found a couple of pictures of their cigarette packets. Has anyone any tins of this company?

Glad you like the price list it is most certainly the most colourful one I have and I have quite a lot. Not sure of the significance of the "Rams Head" trade mark but because of the military reference to a lot of their brand names, I wonder if it is adopted from a regimental mascot. The Mercian Regiment had a "Ram"????
