They usually have a 'bad side' and a 'good side', and extensive damage around the fixing holes, but yours is a very nice example! A lovely birthday pressie!

Morning Hinks,

The Monsters was made by Trenner & Son, of Gray's Inn Rd, London.
Thought this might be of interest.
Its from the London Gazette, dated January 1907.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Samuel Trenner and Joseph Trenner, carrying on business as Manufacturers of Artistic Signs, Letters and Show Tablets, at 76 and 78, Gray's-inn-road, Holborn, London, W.O., under the style or firm of " 8. TRENNER AND SON," has been dissolved by mutual consent as and from the first day of January, 1907. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Joseph Trenner. Dated this 28th day of December, 1906.
SAMUEL TRENNER.
JOSEPH TRENNER.

I have just googled 76-78 Grays inn Road, London. It seems that the original building has long gone, probably courtesy of the Luftwaffe! The site has been replaced by a modern office block.

Lovely sign Griff ...what a GREAT present! Best condition I've ever seen. From memory the monsters pop company was very short lived itself. Enjoy your Birthday.
