A great display Relics!! Does the lever cabinet on the left in the top picture have a pediment? I have never seen a non tobacco cabinet with strips of gold lettering on the front like that before.

Batleycarr1 ,  The Lever cabinet  has a lithographed tinplate pediment with graphics .          I have similar Lever cabinets that have no pediment , but all have the reverse painted glass.  I''ll post a photo of the pediment

Thanks Relics, its a terrific cabinet - I have never heard of a Plantol soap cabinet before - is this an Australian brand?

No , British . I have references to Plantol Soap from Lever Bros at Port Sunlight dating back to 1905

 Hi Relics,

Love your display of tins and the lovely large shop counter complete with till, scales and counter top cabinets. Takes me back to my "Tobacconist Shop" which sadly had to let go. Picture shown. Any chance of a photo of your tobacco tin section.

Great photos Mike  . I think we all got some inspiration when you were putting your shop together . I'll post a photo of the tobacco corner of mine a little later , although not up to your standard .. Cheers .. Chris

Hi Relic..Not many good tins around for me..Here are some bits I liked  bought recently.

The match vesta has a picture of the White Star liner Oceanic . Launched in 1899. It was given by the footwear company...not sure if it was a launching gift ? The Liner entered war service and ended its life in 1914...it ran aground..back is also pictured

The Stollwercks thin tin "Specially made for the London Provincial Automatic Machine Company" in Manchester..(on one end)....Not sure of its age or what "Indian Pearls" are...Back of tin better condition than front..interesting to see what the vending machine looked like

The 1930sCadburys easter egg box appealed because its not chickens popping out

The oval toffee tin 1920s in very nice condition all round

Lovely selection there Kennett
I had a Victorian vesta similar to yours with Tea advertising on it . What possessed me to sell it I don't know . Wish I had kept it .
I have not had the chance to buy one of those Broadway Toffee tins , always wanted one .
What is the tin at the back with a Jester on a motor bike ?
