It is inevitable ALL UK Bottle Shows will be cancelled for the foreseeable future, & at least potentially for the next 3 months, or longer.

BBR is currently arranging for the April 18 & 19 Auctions to be conducted online - watch this space for updates. Storage is not a problem.

Our Elsecar office will offer limited opening hours (to be confirmed) for pre-arranged auction previewing slots, enable future auction entry drop offs & any collection pick ups, book & magazine sales etc.

Nobody knows how long this situation will continue & we must patiently see how things pan out. I will personally, as is my want, utilise social media to pass any information on.

BBR magazine 163 should drop on your doorsteps second week of April - on the correct paper.

Any Q's email: alan@onlinebbr.com & please accept my apologies for any disruption/ delay. Normal service will be resumed as possible - BBR aint going anywhere and in the immortal words of Arnie "we will be back"... with a vengeance!!

Stay safe.

Things have now changed massivle - just finishing BBR 163 & need to re-assess what will happen over the next few months.

Would be interesting to hear other folks opinions what may transpire - we're all guessing?

Its all supposition and guesswork Alan...................nobody knows, The Government boffins are modelling ( ie Guessing ). Other experts tell a totally different story. Nobody anywhere saw it coming. Its literally is wait and see, ride out the storm and see what happens ?

The main and hardest thing is to try not to worry.  Worrying never solved or changed anything. What will be, will be.  Simple but TRUE

My guess is isolation may be relaxed around July-august but social gatherings of large numbers affected for another 18 months. Complete stab in the dark, just going on information coming out but how reliable it is nobody knows

Tough times for us all at the moment, I just hope we all stay safe.
I'd just developed a new unit in a Vintage & Retro emporium in central Nottingham and invested a significant amount of cash in stock. Looks like we are now all going to have to club together financially to mothball the building and help the owner keep the business afloat. At least I have my accounts up-to-date and will be able to claim the Self-employed grant in June to cover lost earnings... Role on retirement!!!

I just hope we can get to a time when our favourite events can resume again. I for one will really miss Elsecar Shows and am still holding out a forlorn hope that by some miracle the Summernational might just happen. If it doesn't I am aware of how many peoples livelihoods are tied up in these shows and so I wish them all well and hope they get through these sad times OK!

As things unfold the SummerNational is looking ever more unlikely.

I can't plan for it to happen batleycarr1 & it then not happen - there's a wad of backroom stuff in doing that, a huge amount.

I must be realistic & think the most likely options at the moment are:
1. April 18 &
19 Spring Extravaganza now shifts to October - 2 days of auctions/ catalogue awaiting the go ahead.
2. May 31 Advertising & Breweriana Auction will slide into the proposed November date.
3. the 30th UK SummerNational - which would have been the BIGGEST ever Elsecar event... rescheduled (bit like the Olympics) to next July.
