Peterborough which was re-scheduled for early July is now CANCELLED - next one October. However IACF are currently saying that Runway Monday on 29th June will go ahead? I would imagine they will have to have the stalls set well apart? But how many will go? |

Cheers Ross. Looks like Runway Monday might be the first chance of a fair then. I'm ready to get out there again but very nervous about it even with masks/visor's etc. You still have pick stuff up and put things down again. Perhaps a new ruling is required - if you touch it you have to buy it? LoL ...interesting times. |

On a serious and realistic note , The virus is still out there, it will be out there for months well actually for ever !!
We may have a vaccine in 8 to 12 months with a further 6 months to a year to get everybody vaccinated
Better treatment, management, drugs and Covid understanding may mean easier diagnosis, better responses, and less people dying
But any and all governments plans throughout the world are about managability of the pandemic (ie) having enough resources, not getting rid of it, not really possible
Its a fact that with social distancing you are very unlikely to catch it outside but within 1.5 to 1 metres you are 10 to 40 times more likely to catch it ( much more likely indoors )
Its all about people being sensible and your own percieved wisdom of risk. Many outlying country villages are now believed to have less than 1 case in 2000 people, different in cities.
Trouble is none of us want to be the one !!

Ross we have been lucky Downunder that our leaders took action early, especially here in South Australia. Then you had other leaders who chose to recommend drinking bleach ( he was only joking...NOT !! ) We have been fortunate to avoid lock down like you guys, only having certain restrictions. I believe we have only had two new cases in the last 40 something days, both cases were people from overseas, allowed in for compassionate reasons. Isn't it bizarre how the slightest little tickle in the throat has you panicking. Continue to keep safe all. Gordo |

Runway June 29th is a go! We look fowrawd (sic) to seeing you all there. That's the official statement folks. No idea how it will be staged 'SAFELY' from a seller or buyer perspective? How many will want to take the risk I wonder? Like you say Ross its how we as individuals see the risks with people travelling from all areas of the UK. I also wonder if cash will be changing hands? Surely this is another worrying aspect of trading at outdoor events. Looking at how the testing on footballer's is going its surprising that so many are A-symptomatic so can pass on the virus to all and sundry without having a clue that they are positive. Certainly worrying times. If anyone goes to Runway Monday please let us how they made it safe for everyone? FB |

its the big A 3 one near Guildford, went to have a look More space between sellers, each row roped off in front of stalls, One way system...walk up one row down the next ( mostly adhered to !! ) It was busy !! People are bored and wanted to get out, NOT that many gloves or masks on view perhaps 15 to 20 % tops. It seemed people felt " fairly safe " outside lummox |
