Hi all,

After a fun night of frustration trying to get photos of the Burma sauce sign up on the forum I finally found a way! After reading various posts of not being able to upload from iPads I made it my midnight mission to bloody sort it!

After much cocking around i found this site   https://imgbb.com (no need to register, like a lot I tried on the interweb, it just works in real time, no downloading of apps etc)

1) hit the "start uploading " button > this asks you where you want to upload from, i.e.photo library, camera, iCloud. 

2) select your image and hit the "upload" button > this will upload your photo to their site

3) after uploading, which takes about 10secs, you are greeted by a nice big tick and the message "upload"complete.

4) below the embed code and viewer link, you will see a https link, touch this and a copy button will come up, hit this to copy the link

5) go to the oldshopstuff forum site and hit the "add new topic" tab in the relevent forum you wish to post your photo (Make sure you are logged in). Next, hit the "chain" icon, it's left of the broken chain link icon. This is on the message panel, third icon down on the left, below the smiley faces. This brings up a LINK panel. In the URL panel (if you don't see this, just hit the chain icon again, it's a bit flacky and not always shows up with the URL panel) hold your finger down and copy the link in here. Hit "OK" and "Submit" icon at the bottom of the page. Job, jobbed!!

Lummox, are you saying you know a easier way of uploading from an iPad? Sorry, I didn't understand your reply?

I just tried and pasted the link as a reply in this thread , but all it did was insert the link

I just tried this again using a new topic .  ( Test . In Useful Tips and Warnings )

It does load the link and makes it live so you can bring up the pic but doesn't appear to load the picture onto the forum page .. 

Have you been able to do this Markbigears .?

Put a pic up on here . I think that has always been the issue 

Sorry guys, this only gives a red link not a pic. I only put this post up as a few members on the Burma sign page asked how I got links up from an ipad, which lots of members have and I assumed, maybe wrongly, that people were finding it impossible linking pictures from iPads. Maybe banjo boy or Lummox have a solution?
