This Muratti's  "NEB-KA" brand No 2 cigarette tin introduced in 1905 and withdrawn in 1916. Also, shown is the "NEB-KA" cigarette packet "Special" which won awards at various "Tobacco Exhibitions" and was withdrawn in 1921. This firm are probaly better known for the "After Lunch" - "Ariston" and "Zinnia" brands amongst others.

The Colour of the tin really lets the design down on this one

I agree with you Lummox when you consider how colourful many of the firms tins are, such as the "After Lunch" posted.

 Hi Ken,

With regard to your question, I recently found an advert by Murattis taken from the publication "Tobacco" Jan 1898 which includes a picture of the first "After Lunch" tin. My previous research indicated that the "After Lunch" brand was introduced in 1907. But this clearly was much earlier and also, the brand continued to be manufactured under licence until 1960. Hence, the different periods of design/clothing. If you check the archives P5 2nd Oct 2018 we did quite a piece on this company with contributions from Mario and others. I have posted a picture of my Anglo American Oil Co, "Pratts "Perfection" Spirit cigarette tin manufactured by Murattis.
