Exhausting and facinating day out last year..Thoroughly recommend. We arrived at 10 am and were "kicked at at (I think) 5 pm ..we had still not seen everything Tins,enamels ,mirrors ,showcards etc scattered through the site..Repro packaging in the sweet shop a little disappointing..Found a nice B & B walking distance from Durham the first day toured the cathedral and town second day and Beamish the third day. Below is a showcard in the resource centre that I would love to own Tried again to get pic vertical...sorry

 Forget now when it was but somebody on tele did a show about this place and how brick by brick it had all been put together and how much stuff had been donated by public..They showed you inside  very large vaults which were stuffed with Enamels,just enamels,,like a bank vault...
