This Ogden's "Coolie" die-cut showcard is in very good condition for its age around mid 1920s. The brand was first introduced by Ogden's in 1904 and proved to be one of their most popular brands of tobacco. The brand name "Coolie" originated in India as a term for labourer. It is considered as a derogatory slur nowdays. Height 24" X Width 14".

Glad you like it Lummox, When you consider that this brand was going for 32 years before being withdrawn, samples of advertising and tins/packets are very few. This showcard is advertising the "Coolie" cut-plug tobacco and attached is a picture of the 1lb "Coolie" cut plug tin which sold on ebay couple years ago and is a bit of a rarity.
