The quality was just so good back in the day.

I just can't see advertising out there today that people will want to collect in the future ?

 Hi Lummox.

Well done! You found two very nice tins. The Gallaghers "Columbine" brand was first introduced in 1895 and proved to be one of the firms most popular brands. The Salmon & Gluckstein "Lifeboat Navy Cut" introduced 1900 but only had a fairly short life. Have posted my Columbine tin. Can't find  my "Lifeboat"  photo at the moment.
