 Hello gents,

I just purchased my first players ashtray. As I delve further I've seen replica tins for Players. Some stating replicans whilst others either showing a scuffed area where that mark would be. I'm hoping to learn more from members.

Cheers from 🇨🇦!

Sean

That wasn't what I asked. I merely stated I had started collecting and was asking about differences in replicans tins to originals.

No matter disregard post.

Cheers

Hi Players Please . I have a repro Players tin which I keep drill bits in . As it says on the back of the lid  "Replicans ,Bedford ,England " you shouldn't have too much trouble distinguishing a modern tin like that from a genuine Players tin . If it has been scratched off , then that's just a ploy to deceive you . You'll know an old tin when you see one , believe me.
