Blackpool Tower Plug Tobacco Information?

Hello,

This small Item I believe to be a metal/band stud that would be pressed into tobacco. This particular one is for 'Blackpool Plug'

Does anyone know anything about this brand or is it likely that it was just a local tobacconist/souvenir shop of the time using the branding to sell tobacco?

 Hi oldfields1981,

The records show there were two "Tower" brands manufacturers: (1) W H & J Woods Ltd of Preston & (2) Ogden's Liverpool. Either could have manufactured "Tower" plug for a local retailer. My option would be Woods of Pretson because of its close proximty to Blackpool.
