Hi newbie looking for a little advice/onfo/

I,v had this poster for quite a long time and decided to see just how rare or common it was, not looking for a free valuation,  i,v looked on ebay for yrs and never seen one come to light apart from one which sold in 2006 for a pretty decent wad of bucks. Its in rather good condition apart from the stain at the bottom, i bekieve its pre ww1 although thiers not really much out thier to find out. Any info would be nice thx

 Hi Magicmike,

Welcome to the forum. We have had a few Redfords on here before. Try and post a picture.

 Hi Magimike,

That is a nice poster and same as the front of their cigarette pkt. J. Redford & Co were in partnership with Charles Biggs & Son of Bristol until 1924. They were based at 49, Exmouth St, Clerkenwell, London. There popular brands were "Golden Navy Cut" - "Arabi Pasha" - "Upper Crust" etc, etc.Your "Navy Cut" brand is shown as registered in 1927. Have posted some of their framed advertising. The first "Redfords Celebrated Tobaccos" is very colourful but I believe a large number of these were found a few years ago. The second one posted is a bit of a rare one. The third is just a label framed and is the same as your poster but advertising cigarettes at 5 for 1d. Hope this helps.
