In classical mythology, Cupid is the god of desire, erotic love, attraction and affection ; and to find "The Cupid" cigarette tin was a little unusual. After some research, I found that the manufacturer Barnett & Co, of London & Birmingham , were Chemist's Perfumers, and that,  these were Perfumed Cigarettes with a refined undetected odour and emphasis was to proclaim them to be good quality, ie. not tainted by the cheap adulterated 'floor sweepings' that some of the cheaper brands were accused of. I have not come across this brand before and would imagine  them as expensive and made for a select market. Circa 1900

Another rare bird!

Thanks for sharing, the artwork is delicate and beautiful.

Love the pages too "laboratory of flowers" and they list Jockey Club which was a popular scent for snuff.

The feminine aspect reminds me of rose tipped ciggies --- rather amazing how long hand-rolled stayed in production, perhaps you've seen this video which is quite interesting, filmed in 1959 at the Godfrey Phillips factory, the cigs are Abdulla brand.
