Indeed he does.
I doubt I'll ever get into the sign collecting game, but I appreciate learning and he's taught me quite a bit just by talking about them.
Sad irony is that the sign he was actually interested in (Pure brand) she would not sell due to sentimental reasons, so he settled on the Texaco.
He's in the process of getting a new house and will have to build a new barn to display his colletion, however since he's moving to a more urban area they will be on the inside. His wife thinks he is mad and wasteful with his silly hobby and gives him constant grief about it...
...that Texaco sign turned out to be a good conduit for proving a point to her because it is too large for him to keep although he laments letting it go --- anyway, the sign was sold before we got home, matter of fact it sold within 2 hours on some Facebook marketplace thingy --- he bought it for $400 and sold it for $1,800!!! Blew my mind how quickly it sold and the price it fetched.
And with that he proved a very good point to his wife and now will enjoy much better graces from her I'd imagine!
