Not $ but £!!! And with commission, just a shade under £15K.

Still, find another one in that condition. in my view one of the most appealing early signs. And compared with the crazy prices being asked for very ordinary enamels it maybe isn't that excessive?

So who's the lucky owner???

Wow !  Killer sign , no doubt about it , but a staggering cost .
I think " find another one "  just doesn't cut it .
I ( and I'm sure many of us ) had to work hard for every quid while paying  off a mortgage and raising a family . We still managed to acquire  quality pieces along the way to grow our collections over time .
I wonder what my collection would be like if I could go out and spend that kind of dosh on pieces . Even the hammer price before add ons leaves me well out of it . c'est la vie

Yep. Easy launder.....pay with cash, then sell at a later date and proceeds go onto account cleaned and ready to roll 🤩

I regularly cycle past that Sunlight Laundry sign! It was painted over until a few years ago.

Surprised no kids have thrown rocks at it over the years.
