Becomming one of the biggest fairs in Europa, the Hotel Zuiderduin enamel sign meeting in Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands.

Due to the fact that stalholders pay 0,00 (for as many tables as they want) and visitors pay 0,00 for entering the fair it is becomming bigger and bigger every year.

Stallholders from Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria and Switzerland. Only the UK is missing :-(

For the next event we have to move to the biggest hall available!

Before the fair starts (on Sunday) we have a collectors meeting in the pub of the hotel with an exhibition of one of the best tobacco sign collection in Europe.

Free signs? Yes, but only if you sign a statement saying that English signs are worthless and Continental ones are the best.

The arrangements for the largest Old Advertising Fair in the world in Egmond aan Zee (Holland) can be booked again. But hurry, because last year the entire hotel was completely full!

Would be nice to finally see some guys (or girls) from the UK. There are allways many signs from the UK for sale every year. And they are cheapper here then in the UK :-)

When you decide to come, I will help and introduce you into the collectorsscene here in Europe.

Do know that the hotel is a family hotel. So it is also a great idea to bring wife and kids for a long weekend. Just check out the website of the Hotel.

I hoped to see some of my UK friends this weekend at Egmond, but i think I will be disappointed :-(

 You're probably right , Henk , we must be a big disappointment to you ! LOL . The pictures you post  are always interesting , and I always look at them . It's just affording them is the problem   . Mind you , we are catching you up a little now over here .

Well, at least one UK collector showed up. Thanks to Lee Jordan who bought some amazing signs.

It turned out to be the best fair sofar. The atmosfere was great. Never ever have i seen such a friendly gatthering of collectors.  And the pub of the hotel (that is also a museum for Dutch Tobacco Signs) had enough beer :-) Please check out all the photos on Facebook.

The next years event is allready booked. March 23/24-2024.

If all goes to plan, we will be having an auction for the first time (on saterday) prior to the fair, followed by building up in the late afternoon and the event starts then on sundaymorning.

And again, NO standholders fee and NO admission fee. You only have to pay for the beer (sorry about that).
