I've already mentioned the forced date change to our Elsecar WinterNational w/e but thought a separate thread needed to keep everyone posted on developments/ updates.

Always a spectacular spread of across the board Advertising with stallholders attending from all over the country. The wonderful & colourful advertising mirror in the advert is included in the Sunday auction.

A few still get a tad confused what/ how takes place.

Just to clarify - ONLY July are there stalls both days. WinterNational, Spring & Autumn Extravaganza the format remaions the same - BIG Auction Saturday in BBR's salesroom, Sunday in Blg 21 - 120-150 stalls PLUS a LIVE auction - video streamed worldwide too.

The advertising glass sign in the above advert is an absolute belter - shown here in its frame.

Effectively we're FULL in Blg 21 for the Sunday 19 February show. Regulars rebooked swiftly before year end, and a number of newbies jumped in too.Stallholders from all over the UK.
Council restricting volumes/ no additional tables. Here's hoping Covid does one for April so we can take up the ongoing extra demand/ keep the Elsecar flag flying...

BOTH auctions looking excellent & varied: a recently dug 2 pint Warners plopped in the other day, plus a large size green topped Bolesworth cream pot, & awaiting a delivery of more top pot lids & a few 'extra special bits' before entries close on Sunday 23rd January - or earlier if full!!

If you haven't yet booked for April (or October) I would strongly urge anyone to ensure they do pretty pronto! UK SummerNational bookings will open at the February Show.

Two, even three months ahead is not an undue request. LATE BOOKINGS REMAIN A HUGE PROBLEM. - try booking acommodation at short notice before an Elsecar Show?

Two years ago we were asked to pay "up front" to ensure requested dates be made available. To enable BBR to cope under ongoing pressures (from many quarters) we're asking stallholders to book at least TWO shows at one time, assisting our capital outlay enormously/ helping to keep the Elsecar flag flying.

If Covid creates any issues we will automatically defer a booking to the next event.

I've slotted this Schweppes item into the February 20th Auction as it fits alongside the mineral water items, rather than the Advertising Auction in May.

A quick and very BIG thank you to all who made the journey this past week-end. Some nightmares along the way - coming and returning at the first Elsecar event of the year.

Everything appeared to have gone swimmingly, in more ways than one. Several regions seem to have endured worse weather since... but somehow we ploughed on through travel disruption, gales, torrential rain (ALL BBR staff were truly soaked to the skin packing up afterwards as we carried goods back over to the BBR office Sunday afternoon).

Both auctions were a resounding success in every way & the Show itself (despite 6 stallholders not making it) was a much needed breathe of fresh air. Sooooooooo much Advertising on offer/ snapped up.

Heads down already preparing for the next w/e in April...... fingers crossed we have gloooooorious sunny Spring weather then?

Thanks for your continued stalwart Elsecar support.

Yes Alan, a very good day out with lots to see and buy! Horrible weather but nevertheless many made it and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Thanks again to you and your team!
