I am sure most of you will have already seen the catalogue, but if not, our enamel sign and advertising auction is tomorrow; approx. 450 lots to include over 40 signs recently discovered forming a piggery in Hertfordshire, to be sold without reserve.

Wow, I'd be curious to hear the back story here, so many duplicates, must have been a hoard found from a building or shed? Some aren't even cleaned yet? Talk about flooding the market ! Even Banjoboy could get in on this action. Ross too! and Gordo and Trix ! Wow, we could all buy one, that is the 5 of us left on here !

There was a piggery in Tring that was formed by timber uprights and the divisions/external walls were made up with enamel signs. The owner moved to the property in the 1950s and she said it was there in situ then, the story locally was that the signs had all been removed from a local railway station. We posted the pictures of them in situ that the family sent us, on our Facebook and Instagram pages, must have been so colourful when the building was constructed!

 I think there might be a dozen regulars , Mick , but you're right , it's on life support now ! What do they say ? Use it or lose it .
