I have been looking for one of these remingtons for years, they come in 44\40 calibre as a  rule which is not legal here in the uk.so i am well pleased to aquire this one in the rare 44 russian calibre, its now on its way to me from my old friend Jim at River Junction Trade Company McGregor Iowa usa,,Its not a good time to buy from the states with the exchange rate been high as a kite but sometimes we all have to stand up and be counted.

Mick G,,let me try to explain, the gun laws here in the uk are a mine field, yet it wrong and it's At least five years in the clink or shot by a swat team,,first a revolver must be made before 1899 uk,,1898 in the USA to be an antique, certain calibres are obsolete they're collectors items if held in a collection,,modern ammunition can't be used as the pressures are to great, the gun would blow up,,,if black powder bullets are acquired for these weapons they then become a section one firearm in which case a firearm certificate is needed and a license to buy black powder and somewhere legal to fire it,,,,,These are just the basics,,best thing to do is leave them alone the authorities don't want guns in private hands,,a gun collector now has to live the life of a monk, one misdeed and its porrage every day and fish on Friday.

Here ya go Joe.... its my collection, albeit they are long guns. Handguns are a bloodly minefield here in Canada as well. Best to stay away....

The one at the very bottom is one of Winchester's rarer models. It a 1936 Model 65 lever action (real old school cowboy rifle) in 25-20 calibre. You can still get ammunition for it, although its outlawed for hunting deer as it is too small a calipre nowadays to be considered humane. There is a 8mm BRNO Ceska Zbrojovka, German Mauser that Grandad pilfered while overseas in WW2, and mailed back in pieces. At the time, he was only married to my Grandmother for a short while. Imagine what she must have thought when all that gear strated showing up in the mail. You can see the stock mid-photo and the rifle above it has the barrel as grandad mounted it to a new hmemade stock and added scope.....It packs one helluava kick, first time I fired it when I was a kid, it recoiled on my shoulder bad enough to leave a healty sized purple bruise for weeks.........

From the top:

- Ithaca Model 37 - 12 Gauge

- Savage Model 340 in 30-30

- BRNO Ceska Zbrojovka in 8mm Mauser

- Empty Mauser Stock

- Cooey Model 60 in 22L

- Cooey in 22L

- 2 X Cooey Model 39's in 22L

- Winchester Model 65 in 25-20
