Just to let you know that there are discussions afoot to bring back Donnington. Current plans are to run it alongside the toy fair held there to keep costs down.
Word on the streets is that it is being rennovated a bit too.
I will do everything in my power to support this event. Anyone else?
Cheers
Al. |

Same here, that would be a really great boost to the hobby. Would be welcomed with open arms by most of us I would have thought |

Last i heard CDW was that the one in October was going ahead but probably only as a toy fair. Would combine with collectors fair next year and stalls would be ' mixed in ' with the toy stalls. As you say, just what the collecting fraternity needs, a decent fair in a central location. |

Donny was always my bestestestest fair -ever so to see a BIG comeback would be truly great as most fairs and events around us are all struggling/ folding. Price of stalls is almost as important as advertising effectively, and in the right places ...... someone can perhaps inform us how much the current Toy Fair stalls are? Anyone know if the refreshments are any more affordable than the old 'crew' used to be - £1 for a round of toast? Dipping toes in the water (to see "how it goes") aint the way to get it very positively off the ground from the outset - so let's all hope it is done with gusto and determined, well thought out, resolve .... so will watch this one with interest as to stall costs, and how much thye manage to push/promote every which way they can. |

Looking forward to it. I've already booked my table (£35 a table). Steve Burton, Peter Williams, Paul Collette & Alex Renshaw are also all ready confirmed.

Just reread - falls the week after the big Elsecar w/e, and stalls twice the price? Methinks I may be right in thinking the refeshments will have remained in the same (very expensive) hands?
Ouch & doh!!!! |
