We discussed this ebay seller from the continent a few weeks ago, Often pulling his items or sticking them on with apparently high reserves.

WELL perhaps with his ' good stuff ' he'll just put it on and let it go !!

Sure you all saw this KOMO make £2.2 K !!  Great sign but over TWO GRAND ?

That's what I paid to have laser surgery on my eyes last year! Beautiful sign though...

Hi Lummox

In my mind the price was right for this sign, I have one on my wall which I bought in 1973 -  unfortunately it had a big hole in it. As soon as I had repaired it - I started looking for a mint one and that's the first one I have seen in all this time where the Imp's face was as good as my Imps. l have seen the blue background one with as good a face but never the yellow.

To me this is the all time best sign, although I am partial to my red Frys Five Boys which I also bought at the same time from Chris Gordon, which I also repaired and is also still on my wall - I have yet to see another, a real one that is, not a photoshopped one!.

Regards

Hi Richard,

It's a belting sign, and like you, it's one of my favourites too! I remember BBR had one in an auction some years back which looked as good, but on close inspection it could be seen that the red had faded and been repainted!

Curious that the face is much nicer on the cream ground version! I think there's another colour in it.. Wonder why that should be?

Hi Chaps

Perhaps I'm just out of touch on the ' real ' good stuff ?

Seen 2 I think go thru BBR at about £600 but that was 3 or 4 years ago.

As I said though cracking sign

Super hard to find one where the boy hasn't faded.
