Over the last 10 years or so I've picked up a number of these tins on eBay, mostly from UK. I'm curious for any information on the where and when the leather work was done and who had it done. What I've heard so far suggests they date from about 1910 to mid-1940s and at least some are from West Africa. Can anyone add to or correct any of that? thanks

Hi Vance,

I have a couple of these tins both W D & H O Will's. I'm not sure of the origin of the leather-work but W.Africa was also mentioned to me. That "Rothman's" is quite decorative.
