Very nice !

I haven't seen the two tone before.

I was the under bidder on a couple of good ones back in the day on Ebay.

I think it's just a case of the two hands having faded a little , and the lettering has not . I've got a faded one , but it's gone equally on all of  the sign .So it's all a faded black.

Y ou're right , Toby . Looking at your second picture , it's definitely a blue tint . As 99% of these signs were made by Falkirk Iron , I imagine Orme-Evans must have made their  signs ,to a slightly different specification . I've only ever seen Falkirk Iron as the maker .

Great sign Ciggy..Very very rare..Deffo blue mate..Rare enamel makers too..As said above 99% of time they were Falkirk made..Chris Gordon had a blue handed one back in the late 70z and im sure we passed one by yrs ago at the winter national milton keynes that was Blue but the whole sign had been repaired to a very poor standard which made us think that the Blue paint on hands just didnt make sense at the time..Well done Toby
