Hi Joe, I have a picture of it but as usual can’t upload it here. I could email it maybe to any member here who might kindly upload it. It’s an absolute beauty…my favourite sign ever. |

Hitting the turps ! Means getting really pissed Downunder. Before you ask..... getting pissed means getting drunk. |

Must be a lot of Turps been drunk then in the Enamel world of late then.?.Cocoa pods 18k +..B.P.Winner,Frys safe cracker even the Hudsons balloon...All of which may i add are either a few known of each or even several..Ive not seen that Dunlop above before hence my large geuss price IF it doez ever sell?..And the big plus for such a sign is its Auto related...Bit a small price to pay imo for that potential buyer or buyers who collect million pound cars just as a hobby and want summat that No one else has.. |

Hi What a shame this site is not the great place to discuss and learn about enamels it used to be, I have enjoyed and learned so much. I check in every now and again and still enjoy. Thanks for those of you who contribute, I don't have the knowledge you have. As for this sign....I completely get Banjo Boys view and possibly agree with his thoughts should it come onto the market... It may get lots of money, but is that the value? How to define value? Something like the Phillips Tea Lady still fetches a few thousand and has the disadvantage of not being exceptionally rare, but as a few get bought and sold its almost a known value. Personally I think this sign is a bit boring, but fully accept that my views wont affect any price sold one jot, lots will want it. Could it ever be classed as one of the classics, Frys burglars, Hudsons balloon etc. or even Phillips Tea Lady.... I dont think so. So I know what I would rather have on my wall, but Yes B.B. at the right time in front of the right people??? Then I wish it was mine. Thanks all.

I agree with you Flat fish, rarity doesn't mean desirability to me. Personally not a very attractive sign to me, wouldn't make my wall space, just because it's rare. |
