thanks banjo boy, its good to get some info ,can i ask how you both can date it to 1910 is there a way of dating it ie a data base ? or is it years of experience of being around enamel signs etc.
thanks again , (any help would be great for a novice collector!!)

It's a bit of both .You can research advertising items on the internet , Google , Wikipedia etc.  but mostly it's learning as you go along , and retaining what you've learnt . About 35 years in my case as a collector and probably 40 + years for Banjo .

T.T is bang on what he says..learning as you go (i still do) and im sure alot of old skool collectors are still finding info on the Enamel subject..If your just starting Oddball collecting theres info everywhere these days at the click of a button..you only got to go on this site for very very good knowledge..Go back threw all the threads and read..Not alot as been missed or talked about on here..Best book or books to get clued up on enamels is Street Jewerly (spelt wrong i know) but you get my drift..anyway all the best on your hunt..👍
