Well, 2023 has been a rubbish year for additions to the collection.
Previous years, I'd average 10 to 12 nice signs, this year only 3.

Brian, looks like we are all had the same amount this year.
You had a good year with those. Are you in the USA?
If so, I’d have thought that Raspson is pretty rare stateside.
In fact it’s pretty rare full stop! Cracking sign. On my wish list. |

Good morning Mark, I am from the USA, and yes the Rapson sign is very rare over here. Before purchasing this one I knew of only two others over here, this one was a surprise to me. Sounds like its been a slow year all around as far as the sign market goes. Best of luck to us all in 2024!!

Kin price of good enamels over the.last 3years has been staggering (omo) by the way..Good if your flogging but crap if Your the buyer..Ive been told different reasons as to why enamels prices went mental,,but who knows? Whatever the reason or reasons they still sold for big money..Their like a drug..As if you need to have or get them at any cost..Must admit they do give me a buzz in a strange way at times,,even more so if i hunted or chased down a certain enamel over time..Anyway,,each to their own..Prices look to have leveld out in last 6 to 12months,still high but not dropped |

I think quality still commands higher prices. There will always be a collector with deeper pockets!
What I’ve noticed is the total lack of decent motoring signs on eBay this year.
Either people are keeping hold as prices are buoyant right now, or we are seeing the end
of enamels being discovered and sold on.
Has to happen at some point, there’s only a finite amount out there.
See how 2024 goes, but this year has been pants, I haven’t had a sniff for over 6 months now
and I’m getting twitchy :) |

Make that four, I forgot i found this door push at a Antique store a few months back. I agree you do get a "Buzz" when you have pursued an item for years and you are finally able to purchase it, kind of like you have conquered the hunt.  |

I 've got some glitch with the laptop and at the moment can't post pictures . One sign I bought this year, a large green Swan Vestas , is on it's own thread , so I have reposted it on it's original thread with today's date . |
