Is there anyone on this forum who actually owns a golden shred marmalade pictorial? This has to be the most desireable of the many fantastic signs for me, the lettering is wonderful and the pot and oranges very sweet indeed! Im guessing this is a very rare sign and its worth being in the 4 figures bracket?

I agree, an absolute cracker of a sign. Here's a photo of one that sold on ebay UK in October last year for $2150.

Yes, the Golden Shred enamel is a winner, The sign shows a white pot...does that mean they used to be made in opaque glass?

Apparently marmalde consumption is dwindling, sales are falling, particularly with young people. Too busy doing sms and Facebook to eat it.

another sign following the theme... Deacons Preserves....titled "Peaches" and to bore you ...Preserve ..fruit cooked in sugar to protect against decay or fermentation..origin middle English preserven from old French preserver from Medieval Latin preaeservare and so on...ken
