So spurred on by our friends recent success we thought we would give the old site another bash.
Took it down about 22ft at its deepest. 4 guys working like dogs from 7am till 2pm. Despite a suprising amount of fresh there was virtually nothing for the first 5 hours. After digging Northern tips with Chris, I thought that it was a good age and stuck with the plan. At least whatever whole items you did find were worth wiping the dirt off.
At about 1pm a massive cave in produced a common Brum lid.
I will never complain about how much money a dump dug item goes for.
Still aching.
Al.
It was a two shelf hole. Nothing more depressing than being on 2nd ledge shifting ash without any finds in it.
Caving under at 22ft isn't the smartest thing to do.
Here comes the cave in
Got to wear trainers at this stage
Argh the pain
