I thought you would put Al right Kalder .

HOWEVER it looks as if it is going to be another long night as the front cover says this auction starts at 10.30PM !!

Viewed the Bamfords Auction today, all in the foyer.

Had a first though. Had to put white gloves on to handle one lot which was on top of a cabinet. Can you guess which lot it may have been ?

Apart from the high value tinplate  biscuit tins, two lots stood out.

Lot 214 the Rowntrees Cocoa shop display box at £1400. plus commission

Lot 222 Cremex custard powder showcard at £1050 plus commission

Both bought in the room, at the back. (?? MG ? )

I'm not entirely 'down with the kids' Madwon, but isn't that meant to be OMG?

Well, that puts an end to any hopes I had of getting one those Rowntree's boxes! I can't imagine anyone paying that much for it. You could get a damn good enamel for that sort of money.

I reckon that box, it's reasonably fair to say may be the only one in existence, hence the price.
Another one may come out but highly unlikely.

That could well be the case, and I suppose under those circumstances, the price may not be so unreasonable, but it's still a hell of a lot for some old cardboard.
