Hi kreemy_nut,

That is a very nice cabinet. You just don't see them around. Would be nice for displaying packets or tins. A very good find.

Hi Kreemy

Great cabinet - can you tell me whether the pediment lettering is on glass or is it on wood?

Best Regards Richard

Hi Lummox,

The draws are not fixed as they slide in and out  to take the particular brand of loose cigarettes. The draws are ideal for small tins or packets for display. The corrugated card would have to be removed first. I've posted my L&B cabinet with tins displayed.

Lummox is right, the park drive has separate drawers, the cigarettes on the front are in sealed glass units & not part of the drawer system, there is no way to display tins or packs with this type of cabinet. Unlike the other cig cabinets, which are ideal for displaying small items. cheers

Lummox is right as rusty says, the cigs are sealed by a wood backing i will try to photo so you can see. What did you mean the corrugated card would have to be removed? never seen this before do you mean the corrugated card had cigarette attached?????? like a dummy display?

Hi kreemy_nut,

I thought it was a removable dummy display with cigs attached. It is still a nice cabinet but would have been even nicer if items could have been displayed within it.

Well........... you learn something new everyday - thanks for the fascinating information Lummox and the photos and the info about the pediment Kreemy Nut - I was wondering why the front had that unusual tiered shape.......what a great historical piece!
