Hi NWC & Broadie,

Your set of Taddy's cigarette cards are rare and very desirable by Cigarette Card Collectors.

Broadie your "Ibex Flake" tin is nice and one has been shown before. The 1940s records show that it was still available then which is surprising since Taddy's which was based in Morden, Surrey closed down in 1920 due to industrial dispute and all showcards/advertising etc was destroyed as the owner Gilliat Hatfeild refused to sell on the goodwill. Eventually, a huge office block was built on the factory site and named "Ibex" house. It would be interesting to know if the Office block still exists ???

The "Tom Buck" snuff brand name was also used by numerous manufacturers such as Newbegin/Adkins/Mitchells and Will's and others.

I have posted a picture of Taddy's "Buffalo" cigarette enamel, which is not mine but a very rare item. The brand I believe was short lived.
