Just for the record, the Stange & Co. sign is from Christchurch New Zealand. It was a big thing that came in three pieces so the central pictorial part is a complete sign in itself, not cut down. The two other pieces were placed either above and below the pictorial part, or both beneath it - it seems they were exclusively used on railway stations around New Zealand probably because the company did a lot of mail order business (we know all this from old postcards of railway stations which show the sign(s) in place. The wording on the two parts are 1) 'Strange & Co's Great (in a ribbon:) Drapery and Home Furnishings' and 2) 'Establishment Christchurch'.
I have a nearly mint example of the pictorial part but in 35+ years of collecting have never seen or heard of either of the other bits although am hopeful that one day, one or both will turn up. I've often passed the building over the years (until the earthquake the ground floor housed a cafe). I've seen a photo of it still standing but it's in the red zone and whether it stays that way remains to be seen (unless it's already been demolished). We know from postcards that, like everywhere there were a lot of interesting signs here prior to WW1 that are no longer known to exist although even in the last decade or two several have come to light that we thought' we'd never see again.
