Appreciate all your effort Nick, and your personal opinions. Wiith the help of criticism & constructive comments I will continue to fine tune to make the Elsecar experience better, and better.

As to prices - well - there has to be highs n lows to lure folk in - all hugh n nobody would bother ...... but, overall a VERY STRONG performance - moreso than I was really expecting - so some solace/ consolation in that.

THe E. E. queue was down - perhaps folk sat in the car to wait knowing they could just walk straight in - rather than stand in the cold and dreadful strong wind queueing outside Blg 21. In fact E. E. was UP slightly, and ordinary admission was actually FIVE TIMES Octobers?

We have started to position large AO posters in strategic roadside postions prior to the w/e now and I am going to urilise this 'free' advert even more next time.

Our best laid plans of turning the auction round (thus losing the inhouse (expensive) catering, and locating a marquee by the back doors (where auction used to be) - thus enabling easy access to ALL 3 on site caterers - was entirely flummoxed by the wind Saturday - which collapsed the damn thing.

So - back to the drawAo posters for site catering did give telephone numbers and you can make an order and go and pick it up.

This time I think the numbers were higher than envisaged - but next time they have assured me they will be more prepared. A BIG THANK YOU from me for persevering and putting up with the inconvenience this time ...... watch this space for an update on the catering - nut they are going to open EARLIER for sure next time.

Afraid I had no time look around, and nobody came up with any of my 'favourites' ..... but, makes the lure of the chase even greater......

Overall door numbers were up which was a surprise.

Saturdays auction was by far and away the biggest we have ever had - perhaps the way we will go?

Even though there were a few glitches (generally dear old IT) we rattled thro' lots both days. Sat - about 4 hrs for 500 lots, similar speed Sunday too.

I wish more of you would take the time to pay tribute where it is due - those girls of mine run their butts off for 2 days to ensure it all runs smoothly.

Been discussing time changes ......... listened to all sides. At the moment the concensus seems to be along the lines of:
SAT:
Open Milton Hall at 9am, start auction at 11am?
SUN:
MIGHT plump for 30 minutes later Sunday - stallholders 8.30, E.E. 9am.
Site caterers will open at 7am or earlier, the Country Pantry - turn L at the Milton - will be open before then for teas n brekkie on arrival, before getting to the site?
Watch BBR magazine & BBR website for anything firmed up on.

Meanwhile one big thank you for your continued support, and encouragement to 'fine tune' - nay - even continue!!!

PS: should conclude all the results by end of today (Tuesday)

Didna sell Lummox - think the restoration, and high reserve, put all off.

Superb and unique piece though.
