Help appreciated for identifying what this wooden bear was promoting/advertising..It stand approx 30 inches high and came out of a high class grocery shop which closed in the 1950s..the hands probably supported trays.....thanks ...ken

 Thats a nice example, don't let it be cleaned or polished , just dusted as its good colour and worth £**** in antique/fine art sale.

its worth £1500 with the trays . i should no iv bought 3 . and i have 4 large black forest bears . i would give a £1000 cash . do you think its worth more GAZ

thanks for all the replies..It seems it may have been used to hold menus that was in a tea shop adjacant to the grocery shop and possibly part of it...As I said earlier the owner likes it too much to sell was just keen to find out its use within the  premises.(his father was managing director  of the company that owned the chain of 85 grocery shops started in the 1880s)
