ok so we've had a green, now has anyone ever seen or got a photo of the fabled 'Red 5 Boys'

I remember Andrew Morley mention one in a old issue of the now folded 'Street Jewellery Society magazine', but i don't ever remember seeing a photo.
Does it exist, or is it just a legend???

Go to the  Enamel Sign  archive section on this forum, page 17, 3/1/2007---there's a photo of a red one, plus others. You'll need to go to www.advertisingantiques.co.uk.

It's a stunning sign no question, on a personal viewpoint it does little for me in green. This is a very unappetising colour association for food, I know it's for the irish market but the blue version is better associated with food advertising for me.
Condition is really outstanding though and obviously highly sought after.

IF the green one is not a clever fake / repro, it must be expensive to buy. Over a 1000 quid, I'd say. Fakers are getting more and more sohisticated, mother f----s. Never mind , we just need to be more careful these days
