Well pleased with this 1920's   30's cricket jug purchased today.  One for the purists Downunder or our own Jethrotull I imagine

Hi Al

W.M WOODFULL { William Maldon } - ( Bill Woodfull ) was a very famous Australian Cricket captain awarded the OBE. He is probably best remembered for his calm conduct as captain during the infamous Bodyline series over the 1932 / 33 series held in Australia

Hi Lummox.Thanks for the pic.

Here is the same player-Bill Woodfull on a ceramic tile/plaque.Also another player from the same era,Percy Chapman. In the middle is another tile,English Delftware from circa 1780 showing a very early image of a cricket game.

The other pics show some players from the Edwardian era-Reggie Spooner,Johnny Briggs,,George Hirst,David Denton, all great players of the time.

I`m always interested in any cricket/sporting ceramics that may be available for sale/swap.

My email is  auditt225a1xbt@sky.com

cheers,

Mike.

Hi Mike

Thanx for your reply, some great bits there. Interesting that the B Woodfull image is exactly the same on the two pieces
