Glad to see some of you have been in the places. I take the dog and use him as an excuse if anyone challenges me. I also go down the honest route too! Often if you explain what you're into mentioning history or local history the doors sometimes open. I have had a few useful bits over the years by just asking the question.

cheers lads, i love these potentials its just like being a kid again having a mooch, it takes a lot of hours on oldmaps and google earth to get some of theses places an ive recently found a old abandoned farm miles into footpath territory, that im 99% sure will have a tip, so it just down to me to get a fold up spade and my bike fixed and hopefully ill have a rural playground to escape to for a day and some more pics to show, fingers crossed
