I know this may seem ridiculous being that different charity shops have different things but... Like any other English cities their is a large amount of charity shops in Carlisle and I'm thinking about looking around them all, mainly for Tobacco tins. Is this something that you've seen in your local charity shops? I know my Gran used to keep some just for storing things in so I'm unsure how common it would be for people to bring them in.

Stuff turns up everywhere. I know of a £2,300 diamond clasp that was bought in a London charity shop for £3. This week I saw a £200 silver dish that was bought in a wimbledon charity shop for £35 !! not me I never go in them ! So in answer to your question look ANYWHERE & EVERYWHERE cos you never know where stuff will turn up .

Failing that follow Banjo Boy cos he could find snow in the Sahara desert !!

I'll definitely do that, probably going to check some out on Saturday. Failing that I'm going to an antique fair on Sunday so hopefully they'll be some there.
