Little story for you all..

I was speaking to my grandad the other day and a conversation came onto how he built his own garage, using only materials he found in a skip as he refuses to pay for building materials.

He said the original wooden garage he demolished was covered in old enamel signs both inside and outside so he used them to form the shuttering and base of the concrete!!!

He also said there was around 75 of all kinds and all sizes...and remembers seeing one with 5 young boys on!!!

Aghhh.

Although im temtped to accidentally cut the back tree down to demolilsh the garage, i dont think it will be worth it for alot of rusty signs covered in concrete!

Anyone else heard of anything like this?

If they went face down you should be ok as the concrete takes the gloss off and bleaches signs.

I will be down your way in a few weeks if you need a hand. Got a cheap hire firm round the corner.

He lives in Stockport, Cheshire.

Yeah i asked if they were, but he cant remember...just threw them down.

I would love to try and get them up but there is no way im demolishing a garage for them lol.

Maybe 1 day in a few decades though...

Lets do it!

70 signs at 50 quid each goes a long way!
