I doubt I'll make Donny but I'm stalling at Berk the Easter Sat. Look out for a big lad with a load of tat for sale. Piled high and sold cheap. Yeeha.

Bugger. Was hoping it was the Easter weekend as at the in-laws up the road in Chesterfield. I'm thinking of going to a fair at Doncaster Racecourse on that Sunday. Any good? Any of you lot stalling there?

Never had any decent enamel pickings at the Doncaster Racecourse fair, but it all depends what you are after. Might be a few tins. I suspect all the advertising dealers from around here will be at the Donnington event on Sunday.

You would have more chance of finding antique advertising in Dorothy Perkins than you would at Doncaster Racecourse. Don't waste your fuel unless you like looking at jewellery and old ugly ornaments!

There was a lot of buzzing around Kalders stall and grabbing a bargain or two. Apart from that there weren't too many advertising stalls, about 12 i think. Plenty of high end tins and a Hignetts Butterfly enamel on SB's stall. Apart from that plenty of toys.
Roll on Berkhampsted on Saturday.

Everybody seemed to want Donington back. Barry Potter obliged and gave the advertising fraternity an opportunity to revive one of Britain's best collectors fairs. The fact that it is not being fully supported by advertising stallholders or visiting advertising collectors is a great shame and a real missed opportunity... Use it or lose it folks. OK there are a lot of toys on sale, but there are also a lot of bottles, pot lids et al at other shows that might not be of direct interest to sign and tin collectors. Those trading ads, tins and packaging on Sunday included Myself, Madwon, Dan, Simon & Carol, Nigel Scott, Tim Turner, Vic, Paul Collet, Steve & Eileen plus several others.

Come on everybody get behind this great venue. At £37 per stall its a bargain. The next one is in OCTOBER

CDBW was 100% spot on. Doncaster full of jewellery, glass and china. Any tins were a combination of crap, tatty, common and modern. I saw one advertising item - a really nice and ornate Art Deco framed blackboard for C.W.S. As I know nothing about things not made of tin, I didn't even get the price. For those into advertiques, don't bother with Doncaster, even if there is over 400 stalls!!
