You guys really are a source of inspiration. I think each of your signs is worth twice what one is bought off the interweb!

Great post,

Al.

Hi Guys

Just wanted to echo what Al said. Its great that you are still out there still finding signs - maintaining a great British tradition.

I used to go around with Chris Gordon in the early seventies. It seemed then that the world was full of derelict shops waiting for demolition. - the stuff we used to turn up!!

I saw allotment fences made of leaping deer enamels behind the Mitchells and Butlers brewery and fences and sheds entirely made from Players navy cut men.

Old derelict shops still full of signs and mirrors as though they were just shut up and left years before - thrilling.

Long may your search continue, I am constantly astonished that the stuff is still there to be found and that there are still signs turning up that I have never seen, for instance I have never seen your Craven A's before.

Regards

Richard
