20 years ago I joined the now defunct Street Jewellery Society. One of it's aims was to promote contact between members, and to this aim we were asked to provide contact details, preferred areas of collecting and signs "wanted".I duly provided these details, which were compiled into a members registry, and dispatched to members on an annual basis.Needless to say,I heard nothing! The S.J.S eventually folded, and I thought no more of this until a few days ago, when I received a letter from a chap who had been looking through his old S.J.S. mags, and had noticed I wanted a sign he was now selling, and would I still be interested.?Contact was made, and today I purchased the sign which was originally advertised as wanted many years ago!

I have loads of those old street jewellery society newsletters from the eighties, the photos were always in black and white...

Memories memories. Had a stint myself at putting those humble little rags togethe. Colour was just a bridge too far back then with the subscription prices. Great days though and amazing that such an old wanted ad paid off!!
