Hello to all.
As a buyer from Australia I sometimes like to look at eBay UK which turns up some very interesting things for me however sometimes the UK sellers won't allow me to bid, which happens quite a bit.
Recently I emailed one seller and he informed me that if I sent him my email address and user name he was able to exempt me from the restrictions for overseas buyers. I realise this thread is slightly different to what is benig discussed however it may help some sellers who are having difficulties with getting their items exposed internationally. The seller I dealt with contacted eBay and that was the course of action that he was advised to take. When the seller listed he too couldn't find the area in which to list internationally so there are ways to get around the hassle, apparently.
When I list things for sale on the Australian eBay it is very easy to sell overseas as there are two boxes that I can tick. One says simply "Sell Worldwide" and the other allows me to sell to certain countriues only. ie UK, Canada, USA, Europe etc but not to other areas. UK listing may be different but don't despair as there are ways to allow interested buyers.
